Morgan Stanley Student Success Scholarship

Eligibility: Incoming Freshman, 3.5 GPA, 1200+ SAT, 25+ ACT, Essay, Demonstrated Need (FAFSA required)

This scholarship was made possible by the generosity of Morgan Stanley. Eligibility requirements include:

  • Incoming Freshman
  • High School grade point average (GPA) of 3.5 or higher
  • SAT scores of 1200+ or ACT score of 25+
  • Quality of submitted essay
  • Preference to scholars with stated interest in economics, business, management, finance, or similar discipline
  • Demonstrated low Expected Family Contribution (EFC) demonstrated on the Free Application for Federal Aid (FAFSA) and confirmed by the College’s Office of Financial Aid

The Scholarship is renewable for up to four (4) academic years of study providing the students meet the requirements illustrated above and funding is available. To retain the scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Maintain a 3.0 GPA or higher throughout course of their studies while maintaining satisfactory academic progress
  • Maintain full-time student equivalency at Morehouse College
  • Complete 30 credit-hours per academic year
  • Participate in mentoring, networking, and professional development workshops provided by Morgan Stanley and the College, including the Morgan Stanley HBCU Scholars Day
  • Annually participate in 50 hours of community service to be coordinated through the Office of Experiential Education
  • Attend bi-monthly Scholars meetings

Award Details
Award varies and scholars will receive funding for the full cost of attendance(1) that is not already covered by other scholarships and financial aid, as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), or the methodology used by Morehouse College.

(1) Cost of attendance includes tuition, fees, room, board, books, and transportation, and may include other personal costs.
